To Simulate Grouse shooting the clay targets, (normally Midi’s) need to form a tight pack, to keep the Guns guessing and true to Grouse flight, the pack randomly moves left and right still holding the tight pack formation. This is achieved by using the Acorn Duplex Bases synchronised together so they all move in unison with each other.

Using two AutoClay traps on each of the Duplex Bases, one Lefthand and one Righthand on each unit, this will give the added benefit of the target moving in different direction in the pack making a more realistic experience and challenging for the Guns.

This is all controlled with the RadioTrap Tx8 Release or Acorn Flush pre-programmed radio release system. All the traps are paired together and can be launch individually, in smaller groups or all at once at a press of a button.

The rotational cam can be altered to increase or decrease the angle of the group of targets as well as the height of each bird.

By using a commercial flat back trailer for easy transportation three or more Duplex Bases can be fitted on Acorn’s bespoke frame work with fork lift access point available for extra height if required.

The added advantage of this system is that each Duplex Base is detachable and can therefore be used for different clay shooting disciplines in other locations. This makes the Grouse-6 the most versatile and cost effective clay target system on the market as the traps can be fully utilised for any clay shooting activities.

Bespoke covers are supplied in order to stop the ingress of road debris when traveling or for when in storage and keep everything in top tip condition.

With safety being top priority with all our clay pigeon traps, each machine is supplied with safety guards and a remote on/off disarm switch. All Acorn Clay Pigeon Traps comply with RoHS, WEEE Directive and CE regulation for safe use and environmental protection.
